Dynamic DNS, or DDNS for short, is a DNS service that provides the option to change the IP addresses of your A/AAAA records when the IP address of your device is changed dynamically by your Internet Service Provider. This is a good solution especially for home networks, which typically have dynamic public IP addresses from their ISP.

How do I set up a Dynamic DNS?

To set up Dynamic DNS, Please follow the steps,

  • Login to 5centsCDN control panel.
  • Go to SimpleDNS.
  • You can configure a new DNS by clicking the green plus button or you can click the Manage button of the existing DNS.
  • On the redirected page, you can create A/AAAA records by clicking the green plus button.
  • Once the A/AAAA records are created, you can click the ⬆⬇ icon nearest to the record to enable the Dynamic DNS.
  • Click the Activate button.
